The Awards Guidelines for 2008 - 2009 have been posted on the web. A copy was forwarded to all Brigade Commanders for dispatch to their respective camps. Please read the awards criteria carefully. There have been several changes to the Awards criteria.
The Awards Committee is tentatively scheduled to convene on February 21, 2009. The location will be announced at a later date. Please be advised that all submissions for awards must be sent to me by February 12, 2009.
Scrapbooks will be judged at this meeting. Please have your scrapbook delivered to the committee prior to the meeting start. You may want to contact your Brigades Awards representative to schedule your scrapbook delivery. The decision to judge scrapbooks at this meeting was made to allow the Award committee representatives the opportunity to participate in convention activities. In the past committee members forgo convention activities to judge scrapbooks. If you deliver the Scrapbook in person, remember that the Award meeting is for committee members only. You may want to contact your Brigades representative to forward your scrapbook to the judging site.
The newsletter award has changed in that all members of the Awards Committee need to be included on your distribution list. The contact information for the Awards Committee representatives is listed in the Awards Guidelines. This change was made so that the committee has time to review the newsletters prior to attending the Awards Committee meeting. If your camp is planning on entering the newsletter competition, add all of the committee members to your distribution list!
I will accept hand-deliveries, UPS, FedEx, etc. until midnight February 12th.
